Tour Description

Examine an army of ancient terracotta warriors, stroll along the legendary ramparts of the Great Wall, and uncover the history in Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. With convenient transportation and airfare from Shanghai, embark on a 3-day adventure to Xi'an and Beijing with a private guide.

Day 1:
Kick off your city-hopping excursion with pickup from your Shanghai hotel and head straight to the airport for the quick flight to Xi'an. When you arrive, jump in comfortable transportation and make your way to the site of the Terracotta Army, grabbing lunch at a local restaurant on your way.

Spend the afternoon gazing at the stern expressions on more than 8,000 clay soldiers, discovered underground by local farmers in 1974, and learn how these earthen soldiers were said to protect the tomb of China's first emperor.

Afterward, make a special trip to the Xi'an city wall and bell tower, check out the local Muslim quarter, and get a good night's rest in your 5-star hotel.

Day 2:
A convenient ride takes you to the airport for your flight to Beijing. After you touch down, ride directly to the well-preserved Mutianyu section of the Great Wall to snap photos and wander around this wonder of the world.

Recharge with a scrumptious lunch and tea, spend the early evening checking out Olympic monuments like the Water Cube and National Stadium, and cap off your day at a restaurant specializing in succulent Peking duck before you grab a few winks in your 4-star accommodation.

Day 3:
Wake up refreshed for a morning trek around the red bricks and incredible palaces that line Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, catching a final ride to the airport in plenty of time for your return flight to Shanghai.
