Tour Description

Cruise by the historic buildings along Shanghai's sparkling waterfront, explore the ancient stones of the Great Wall of China, and find out what historic events have played out in Tianmen Square and the Forbidden City on this private excursion around Shanghai and Beijing.

Day 1:
Begin your adventure in Shanghai, where convenient pickup and a private guide pick you up from your hotel and whisk you to the Bund, where you can check out stately Beaux-Arts and Art Deco buildings situated along the slow waters of the Huangpu River . Snap some photos of their grand facades, do some shopping at a local bazaar, and grab a tasty lunch at a nearby restaurant before you catch a ride back to your hotel for the evening.

Day 2:
Head straight to the airport for your morning flight to Beijing, arriving early to meet up with your guide and private transportation to the Mutaniyu section of the Great Wall. Spend some leisure time admiring its incredible ramparts and listen to colorful commentary about the Wall's construction on your way to a locally loved cafe for a delicious lunch.
Take the evening to get up-close looks at Olympic structures including the webbed exterior of the National Stadium and the glowing edifice of the National Aquatics Center. Before you head back to your hotel, tuck into a tasty dinner of perfectly roasted Peking duck.

Day 3:
Make the most of your day with trip to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, where you can learn about the city's early history and powerful dynasties. After lunch, let your private car bring you back to your hotel and part ways with your guide, getting a few last-minute tips on other places to check out around Beijing.
